Lebanon Borough School is excited to announce that registration for our full-day preschool program for the 2025-2026 school year will take place from February 10 to February 27, 2025. Our program provides a nurturing and engaging learning environment designed to support the academic and social-emotional growth of our youngest learners.

 

The Lebanon Borough Board of Education has voted to apply for New Jersey's Preschool Expansion Aid (PEA) to help fund a free, high-quality preschool program for all eligible 3- and 4-year-old students. If awarded, this funding would allow us to expand our program while making it tuition-free for families. The state grant requires that within five years of receiving PEA, we must serve 95% of all district-resident preschool-aged children. In the meantime, tuition for the 2025-2026 school year is $600 per month, but payments will be refunded if PEA funding is secured.

 

The LBS Preschool Program is open only to children who are Lebanon Borough Residents and turn 3 years old before October 1, 2025. Students must be potty trained by the start of school. Once enrollment closes on February 27th, if the number of students exceeds our program's capacity, a lottery will be held on February 28, 2025, and a waitlist will be created. Priority will be given to children who are already in the program returning for their second year of preschool, ensuring continuity for current students.

 

As we continue to assess the future structure of our school, the Board of Education has determined that sixth-grade students will remain at Lebanon Borough School for the 2025-2026 school year. While transitioning sixth grade to Clinton Public School is a consideration for future years, no changes will be made for the upcoming school year. This decision allows us to focus on expanding our preschool program under the PEA guidelines. 

 

Parents can pick up registration packets beginning February 10, 2025, from the school office or complete them online at www.lebanonschool.org. Completed packets must be submitted by February 27, 2025, along with:

Submission of the registration packet does not guarantee placement in the class. Families will be notified of their child’s enrollment status by March 3, 2025. If selected, parents must confirm acceptance by March 10, 2025.
