Please be advised that the Contractor, Tilcon New York, Inc, has advised the Borough that pavement milling operations will start on Friday October 13, 2017 and that pavement resurfacing will start on Wednesday October 18, 2017. The work is being performed through the Morris County Cooperative Pricing Council. It is anticipated that milling will take one day and resurfacing will also take one day.
Since vehicles will not be permitted to access Edgerton Court during construction and resurfacing, you should anticipate that all vehicles will need to be removed from the intersecting courts by 7:30 am, with return access after 6:00 pm. Temporary parking and access restrictions are as follows:
- No Parking/access on Friday, October 13, 2017 between 7:30 am and 6:00 pm (or when milling is completed)
- No parking/access on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 between 7:30 am and 6:00 pm (or when paving is completed)
Limited, temporary parking will be permitted on the westerly side of Young’s Road, at least 50 feet from the intersection with Edgerton Drive. Temporary parking will also be available at the municipal park and at the fire house parking lot, in areas not reserved for police and emergency vehicles. Vehicles will be able be to drive on Edgerton and park along the normal parking side, after the milling is completed on Friday, but will need to be moved by 7:30 am, Wednesday morning, the 18th.
Please use caution on when driving on the milled surface as manhole covers and water valve boxes will be 2-inches higher than the milled surface. Your cooperation in helping the project move forward in a neat and timely manner is appreciated and we understand the temporary inconvenience caused by this type of work.
